Owner Mode is run by The Oldford Company LLC. This page explains what we collect, why, and what we will never do with it. It is written to be read, not skimmed past.
What we collect
Your email address, when you sign up or ask for a sign-in link.
What you enter into the game. If you use the "simulate your business" mode, that includes the business numbers you type in: niche, pricing, list size, revenue range, and anything you tell the mentor.
Your consent choices. Each box you tick or leave unticked is recorded, with a timestamp.
Gameplay events. Which screens you reach and which choices you make inside the game, so we can see where the game confuses people and fix it.
Your IP address, kept in security and rate-limit logs.
One cookie. A single session cookie that keeps you signed in. Game saves also live in your own browser's local storage. We run no advertising pixels and no third-party trackers on this site.
What we do with it
To run the game. Your email gets you in, your saves persist, your simulation remembers your numbers.
To email you. A welcome email and sign-in links when you ask for them. Marketing emails go out only if you ticked that box, and every one carries a one-click unsubscribe.
To improve the game. Gameplay events tell us what to fix.
Benchmarks and case studies, only with the separate consents that name them. Benchmarking uses anonymous aggregates, never your identifiable numbers.
We never sell your data. We never share your business numbers with other players. There is no advertising on this site.
Who processes it for us
A few services run under the hood, each seeing only what it needs:
Vercel hosts the site (United States).
Supabase stores the database (Canada).
Postmark delivers our email.
OpenAI powers the in-game mentor. It receives what you type to the mentor plus banded ranges of your game numbers... never your exact figures. The mentor's answers are AI-generated guidance, not professional advice.
ActiveCampaign holds our marketing list. Your email reaches it only if you gave marketing consent, and withdrawing consent removes you.
How long we keep it
As long as you have an account. Delete your simulation from inside the game any time. To delete everything including your account and email, write to us at the address below and we will do it. Security logs age out on their own.
Your choices
Unsubscribe from marketing with one click, in any email.
Withdraw any consent you gave. Withdrawal propagates: leaving the marketing list means our email tool suppresses you too.
Export your simulation data from inside the game.
Ask us what we hold about you, and we will show you.
Age
Owner Mode is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will say so plainly on this page and update the date at the top.
